How to write a useful wholesale product listing
Clear product details help buyers evaluate your offer.

1. Write a specific product title and specification
Write a specific title with the commodity and grade. Include the country of origin, harvest or production details where relevant, and a detailed specification.
2. Make wholesale pricing and payment terms explicit
State the price currency and unit. List the minimum order quantity, packaging and payment terms. Explain whether freight, insurance, taxes and inspection are included or excluded.
Clarify the price basis
Use one unambiguous currency and unit, and identify the minimum order.
Separate included and excluded costs
- Explain packaging and inspection arrangements.
- Identify whether freight and insurance are included.
- Confirm responsibilities for taxes, duties and required documents with the buyer.
3. Use accurate photographs and protect contact details
Use accurate product photography and avoid claims that you cannot document. Keep your email, phone and WhatsApp details in your seller profile rather than the public product description.
Credit library photographs honestly
An illustrative photograph is not proof of available stock. See our free-library photo credits and clearly label examples.
4. Keep availability and prices current
Update the offer when availability or pricing changes. Clear listings help buyers make informed decisions, but no listing can guarantee a search ranking or a sale.
Put your listing in context
Browse the wholesale catalogue and food category directory. Review the import and export checklist and payment terms guide before agreeing a trade. You can also share a useful tool or product review.
